Bank branches in Telangana are to organise financial-inclusion camps across 12,760 gram panchayats and 136 urban local bodies in all 33 districts, according to a Finance Ministry release published by PIB Hyderabad. The campaign runs from October 21 to December 31, 2026.
The October 27 release describes the campaign’s coverage and intended services. It does not say that a camp has already been completed at every location, or provide a district-wise timetable.
The programme includes enrolment of eligible people in the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana. Bank branches will also facilitate Jan Dhan accounts, including for particularly vulnerable tribal group households. Eligibility and prescribed contributions continue to apply; participation in a camp does not itself guarantee every benefit.
Other work includes reactivating inoperative Jan Dhan accounts, completing re-KYC, generating pending Central KYC identifiers and updating nominations. The release also lists help with Kisan Credit Card applications for eligible PM-Kisan beneficiaries; receiving an application is distinct from approving or disbursing a loan.
The ministry says the camps also cover digital-banking awareness, fraud prevention and information about unclaimed financial assets. It asks eligible citizens to use their nearest bank camp.
Because the announcement supplies no branch-level dates or document checklist, residents should confirm those arrangements with the relevant bank branch. The published figures describe planned geographic coverage, not a verified count of people enrolled or accounts serviced.
